About the bean

This exceptional peaberry blend was co-produced by two leading-edge New Gen Brazilian producers: Danielle Fonseca and Rodrigo Moreira Leite, both young agripreneurs focused on moving their respective family farms and multigenerational coffee legacies forward.

Embracing agroforestry land-management practices (the integration of trees and shrubs into crops) and post-harvest techniques, Danielle and Rodrigo optimize the quality of their coffee and preserve the integrity of the land they cultivate in their focus on specialty excellence.

As for the taste? Expect a creamy and dense combination. The blend's sweet character is balanced by a medium-high citric acidity, which we very much enjoyed brewed as both a V60 drip and an Americano. Notes of milk chocolate and hazelnut expressed as a dark chocolate in the cup.

Peaberry in a Pinch: Peaberries are a natural mutation, typically hand-sorted from regular beans. For roasters, the rounded, smaller and denser peaberry form should produce a more even result.

Yellow Fruit. Red Fruit. Spices. Milk Chocolate. Hazelnut.
