About the bean
Kenya Ndundu AB comes to us from the Thiririka Farmers Cooperative. Thiririka is around 800 smallholder farmers' strong. Their efforts center around the Ndundu Coffee Factory for processing and washing (in Africa, washing stations are called factories). Ndundu means "agreement/unity".
Traceability for Kenyan coffees is quite rare and we're thrilled to be able to share source notes for this offering. The Ndundu Factory is well known for its meticulous processing care and high-quality product.
In the cup, we have notes of sweet red fruit and lemon. Typically, for blends, we like to mix Kenya and Colombia - either half and half or play with the ratio to preference. This Kenyan is not as buzzy as most, so that's good news for coffee fans looking for a little less acidity.
